Winter Plant Walk: Native Grasses & Seed Saving
FEBRUARY 11TH 1-3PM
In this plant walk we will talk about winter plants and how to collect native seeds from grasses and flowers to save for spring planting. We will cover more botany than a typical plant walk, especially when it comes to how plants produce seeds and pollinate. Basic knowledge or interest in ethnobotany is helpful but not required. Small paper envelopes will be provided for seed collecting as well as baskets and pens.
This plant walk is weather dependent, if it is too cold or snowy we will reschedule. More details will be provided including exact location, parking, and logistics upon sign up. Please be prepared to hike at least 2 miles.
Waitlist: Email hello@loam.earth to be added to our waistlist
Cancellations: please email us with at least one week notice if you cannot join the walk! We will refund you in full. Email: hello@loam.earth if you cannot make it. We cannot offer refunds for cancellations made with less than 7 days notice. Thank you for understanding!
